Every year, climate scientists record a new graph of pollution. It is becoming a critical issue for our earth. Reducing fuel consumption is one of the best ways to reduce pollution. After spreading awareness of environmental issues, many drivers are opting for EVs to meet their lifestyle needs without leaving carbon footprints. A recent survey by Audi Abu Dhabi proves this!
The survey revealed the increasing interest in pre-owned EVs among the UAE residents, reflecting their mission to create a sustainable environment.
The survey indicates that warranties are the leading priority for people thinking of purchasing pre-owned electric vehicles. 32% of people said they would buy a preowned EV if it comes with warranty options, defining the significance of credibility in EV adoption.
Around 41% of Emirati respondents showcase their demand for warranty while considering pre-owned electronic vehicles. Furthermore, the respondents between the 18-24 age groups(36%) also highlight their strong demand for warranty features, along with 37% of respondents with average income holders.
Affordability and eco-friendly benefits are also key factors considered by 27% of respondents while considering a pre-owned EV. A second-hand EV is not only a financially fit vehicle option but also serves many environmental benefits.
However, the survey also covers the lack of charging facilities. About 13% of respondents reveal that they want a proper and enhanced charging facility before they switch to a pre-owned EV. On the flip side, 17% of customers showcased their interest in EVs but said they were not ready to purchase them, highlighting the need for awareness and education about EVs and their environmental benefits.
Well, the upcoming years will tell what will be the response of the automotive industry to control pollution and promote sustainability with EVs. However, the current EV status is both interesting and concerning!
