Under the Stars

Rolls-Royce Motors has never needed much introduction.  The car-maker has long stood on top of the hill of luxury manufacturers, whilst still maintaining its voracious appetite for excellence. It has managed to build bespoke cars with an endless array of personalisations for its customers; all of this being done by some of the most talented craftsmen on the planet. The real ingenious is how they managed to sustain a lost art, and implement technology for today’s’ RR owner. Assuming this is/could be you one day, remember to check mark the Starlight Headliner option on yours. (If it were up-to us, we would have kept it as a standard feature; that’s how surreal it makes the cabin feel).

So, what’s so special about the Starlight Headliner? Roll-Royce craftsmen delicately fit 1,340 fibre optic LEDs in the different openings created on the genuine leather surface. These LEDs are embedded in different depths, angled uniquely, and lights up in distinct patterns, all to simulate the sense of the occupants being under the stars. Being Rolls-Royce, even this feature can be tailored to suit your taste. You can have shooting stars, your birth stars, and any of your favorite constellations. It takes anywhere from a 9 to 20 hour range to complete the headliner; that’s the same time it takes to manufacture a Toyota. Why compare it to a Toyota though? Because you could get a used Camry for the cost of the Starlight Headliner, which starts above $12,925. Nowhere near as pretty as the Starlight Headliner though…What initially started as a one-off special edition in the previous gen Phantom, has made its’ way into all the models for the Goodwood Coachbuilder, save for the Dawn.

Here are our top chooses:

1.Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection.

2.Rolls-Royce Celestial Phantom (VII).

3.Rolls-Royce Black Badge.Regardless of which model you choose, the models with the Starlit headliner share one quality in common: Opulence.
